Bill - Representative Organization for Unrepresented Persons with Disabilities
Many groups of people with disabilities currently do not enjoy a regulated democratic mechanism for electing their representatives. The purpose of the proposal is to promote a legal, democratic, and transparent framework that will enable this public to vote and be elected, and above all, to obtain legal status for representation.

📖 Background
The Laron Committee, in its conclusions in the chapter "Autonomy and Integration into Society," recommended that the state assist in the establishment of a representative organization for people with disabilities, should the public express its desire for this. In May 2005, the Government of Israel adopted the committee's report in its entirety in Government Resolution No. 3597. The provision regarding the representative organization is not a mere recommendation, but a valid government resolution that has never been revoked, amended, or implemented. At this stage, we are collecting signatures in support of the demand, in order to "activate" the government resolution.
