About the Site
Welcome to amechad.info, the site of the "Civic Compass" association – an innovative platform designed to strengthen the connection between residents, their elected officials and the authorities, through advanced technological tools, community collaboration and full transparency.
The site was established from a deep understanding that current municipal services, in their existing form, do not allow residents to act together – but require each person to contact the authority individually and receive only a personal response, even when dealing with a recurring general problem.
The site presents the association's work, brings citizens together into groups to approach municipal and national authorities, provides legal support and raises donations.
What We Offer
- Group Inquiries to Municipal Authority – Instead of each resident contacting independently, the site enables uniting resident voices around common issues and submitting the inquiry as a group.
- Transparency and Accessibility – Every inquiry is made publicly, documented and stored in an open archive – so everyone knows the status of the inquiry, what happened before, and what is needed now.
- Direct Connection to Elected Officials – Inquiries to council members, Knesset members and other relevant bodies – in one place, clearly and collectively.
- Improving Public Service – Through data analysis, documenting recurring cases, and presenting a systemic picture – it will be possible to streamline the authority's response and prevent recurrence of issues.
- Strengthening the Local Community – The site enables people from the same neighborhood or city to connect around issues that matter to them, collaborate and lead change together.
- Fair Civic Opinion – A civic opinion about an elected official or office holder is published only on the basis of verified data: the site's event log, or documentary evidence when the interaction took place outside the site. The party concerned may dispute the facts – not the citizen's opinion.
- Transparent, Consent-Based Editing – An inquiry that does not meet the terms is not simply rejected: the content manager proposes a corrected version, and the author can accept it or propose their own. An edited version is never published under the author's name without their consent.
Our Vision
To create a new reality in which the resident is not alone against municipal bureaucracy – but part of an aware, active and influential community, connected in real time with the local authority and working to improve the quality of life for everyone.
