Hello,
I am a graduate with a bachelor's degree in psychology. I have been working in a social worker position for about 3 years now, within an outreach framework for youth and children with cognitive disabilities. I work around the clock and am not compensated in a way that reflects the difficulty and complexity of my work.
The salaries of social workers and myself are very low, and I wonder why our pay is not being raised?
Less than 10,000 NIS a month for a very demanding and rigorous job is not adequate.

קראנו את פנייתך בקשב רב. העבודה של עובדות ועובדים סוציאליים היא עבודה מורכבת, שוחקת ובעלת אחריות גדולה מאוד, ובוודאי כאשר מדובר בטיפול בילדים ובני נוער עם צרכים מורכבים.
סוגיית השכר במקצועות הרווחה היא סוגיה רחבה הנוגעת להסכמי שכר, תקציב המדינה ומדיניות ממשלתית, ולכן אינה נתונה להחלטה של גורם אחד בלבד.
הפנייה שלך חשובה ומציפה קושי אמיתי של אנשי מקצוע שנושאים על כתפיהם אחריות כבדה, ולעיתים מרגישים שהתגמול אינו משקף את היקף העבודה והאחריות.
